These hugely popular Kissie dolls are produced in a shanty town east of Nairobi in a workshop established by the local women to support their families. The 43cm dolls all wear the brightly coloured batik fabric dresses that the women themselves wear and come complete with a baby in a sling. Each doll is made from cotton fabric and stuffed with cotton wadding. their braided hair is acrylic wool. These dolls add African authenticity and beauty to any home or centre.
